PROCESS SELECTION

Stern Industries is not restricted to one process in producing polymer products for our customers. This puts us in a unique position to contribute to our customer's competitive advantage. Our partnership with some of the finest specialists representing all of the major polymer processes gives us access to unprecedented expertise. this helps us evaluate our customer's component needs and in recommending the process that will maximize their profitability and increase market share.

We use specific criteria in process selection recommendations that take into consideration the parts design parameters, constraints, part size, and complexity. We recognize the need for and the demands today's engineered materials place on process selection. We look at the product life cycle (PLC), the estimated annual usage (EAU), and anticipated changes in EAUs. We evaluate the tooling and component costs and required secondary operations to maximize our customer's return on their investment. We consider the individual product and, where applicable, its assemblies, its application, and its quality requirements. We ask about dimensional tolerances and cosmetic criteria so our customer markets the product that has the fit and finish their customers expect. Stern Industries can and will reevaluate customer's changing needs in any of the above mentioned areas. In particular, as our customer's business grows, we can change processes to maximize cost efficiencies.

In the end our customers always have the final say in process selection because no one knows their parts and market better than they do.
